The subway system of London , or "tube " , as we call it , is the system of the world's oldest underground trains. With nearly 300 stations and network expanding all the time, you're never far from a station.
It is divided into 12 rows and 6 zones. Each subway line goes to a different destination in both directions. So when you're picking a particular subway line you should see your direction in front of the train and consult the subway map to make sure you're headed in the right direction. When the subway lines intersect, you can change line if you need to continue your journey. Each subway line has a different color and name, which facilitates the use of the subway system in London.
